Passing the Hat…

Good morning, ProviderNation.

Our friends in New York and New Jersey still could use a hand up after Sandy. Employees, who have nobly stood their posts in the worst of the worst, lost homes, cars—everything.

The good news is you can help.

Our friends in the industry are passing the hat. You can help New Jersey here, and New York here.

Meanwhile, the great glossy has hit the newsstands this week. For those of you who still think paper-reading is soooo 20th century, here’s the short version: David R. Graber has some thoughts on making a culture that cares; Judi Kulus has some tips on staffing up for that Five-Star rating; Elliot Zemel looks ahead to what the health department’s inspector general has in store for us in 2013.

Oh, and some guy frets about bringing the young uns into the profession.
