Good morning, ProviderNation.
First to the fiscal cliff. AHCA is muscling up in a big way on the cliff. At least nine state leaders have come to Washington to make their case that industry has been cut too much already.
In the meanwhile, we’ve got rumors and rumors of rumors here in Washington. One
that has made the rounds is that a deal come in two parts, with some kind of “down
payment” (read: gored ox) from a beloved entitlement.
In other news, Minnesota policymakers say they’ve made their nursing home report card more “user-friendly”; long term care insurers want to “educate” women on the big price tag they’re about to get; and HHS’ inspector general says that state officials aren’t doing their due diligence with assisted living centers.
