Good afternoon, ProviderNation.
You knew that already, but just in case you needed a reminder, the Alzheimer’s Association has released its annual fact sheet. We’ve posted a detailed story on the findings, but the association estimates that dementia drains $203 billion from the economy, most of it covered by Medicare (53 percent) or Medicaid (17 percent).
If that seems bad, don’t worry, it gets worse. By 2050, dementia may cost up to $1.2 trillion, the association says.
