We’re All Winners…

Good afternoon, ProviderNation.

I hope your throats are recovered from all the hollerin’ you must’ve done watching last night’s thrilling, overtime Blackhawks’ winner.

Let’s all join hands for a rousing chorus of Chelsea Dagger, shall we? (Or, we can go classic if you like: I’m open-minded that way…)

Nearly as cool are the 360 homes that are collecting hardware. They’ve been given AHCA/NCAL’s Bronze medals for “Commitment to Quality” awards.

“These facilities have risen to the challenge set forth by the Bronze level criteria,” says Ed McMahon, Chair of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers. “Achieving this level of success takes vision, planning, and a commitment to long-term quality improvement.”

The awards program goes back to 1996, but in recent years, long term care advocates have doubled-down on quality. Stay tuned this summer for announcements about the silver and gold medal recipients.
