Meet the New Boss…

Good morning, ProviderNation.

The federal Long Term Care Commission has a new boss.

Bruce Chernof, president & CEO of the SCAN Foundation, will chair the commission. He’ll be ably seconded by Mark Warshawsky, a consultant on retirement matters.

The commission’s first meeting is June 27.

The gang has its work cut out for it.

“The work that lies ahead of us over the next few months will be critical in transforming our nation’s system of care so that all Americans can age with dignity, choice, and independence,” Chernof says in a commission statement.

Besides Chernof and Warshawsky, the commission has AHCA’s Neil Pruitt, Jr., as well as: Javaid Anwar, Judith Brachman, Laphonza Butler, Henry Claypool, Judith Feder, Stephen Guillard, Julian Harris, Chris Jacobs, Carol Raphael, Judith Stein, Grace-Marie Turner, and George Vrandenburg.
